- Who's invited?

Mensans, International Mensans, solo Mensans, married Mensans, smart
friends and spouses of Mensans, prospective Mensans, young Mensans,
older Mensans, and YOU!
- What activities will there be?
-
Snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, aerobics, dancing,
tennis, flying trapeze, basketball, pool games, water polo,
beach volleyball, evening entertainment, beachcombing,
comedy, sightseeing, birdwatching, social activities,
and more.
All lessons and sports equipment are included in the price. All meals,

(SCUBA trips and guided sightseeing tours are available for an extra
charge.)
- Is there SCUBA outside of Club Med ?
-
Yes. The divers among us often arrange one or more dive trips.
- How will I know who the other Mensans are?
-
We'll meet you the evening you arrive at 7:30 P.M. sharp
in front of the main restaurant for dinner. Wear your Mensa pin and/or
Mensa shirt. Your SIG coordinator, a tall, slender brunette, will
be looking for you, wearing a minidress and Mensa pin. See FAQ for
a photo.
- Wear your Mensa hat and T-shirt, or look
intelligent and use big words, so that new members will
recognize you.
- Look for the yellow Mensa sign on the beach between
the windsurfing and sailing areas.
- If you still can't find us, leave me a note and we'll
track you down! The G.O.'s always seem to know where we are.
- Of course, everyone will be wearing their Mensa T-shirts
for snorkeling and sailing, because we are all too smart to
get a tropical sunburn.
Remember while you are wearing your Mensa shirt that we will be meeting
dozens of prospective Mensans and we want to show Mensa in the best
possible light. We are just a fun group of congenial people who used to
be gifted children.
- What if I come without my spouse?
-
Single rooms are available at a higher price or
come with a friend who needs a fun vacation.
- How do I get there ?
-
Our group reservations are being handled by Mill Travel, a Club Med
Specialist. They will give us a 7.5% discount off of the current Club
Med price. Their website is
www.milltravel.com. Their phone number is 1-800-2handsup.
Don't forget your passport!
- What is the cost ?
-
Membership in the Club Med SIG is free. Registration is free. All
sports, equipment, lessons, meals, snacks, and bar drinks are
included in the price. Currently, the price (through Mill Travel)
is about $120 per day. If you are a solo traveler, and you don't
want to share your room with a roommate, you can have your own
room for a somewhat higher price, subject to availablity.
If the Club starts to fill up, this price could increase. If
there is a last-minute sale, you could get a lower price. Check the
Internet for special deals and last-minute specials. If you are not
already a member of the Club, there is a life-time membership fee
of $100.
- How do I get more information?
-
